Escondido Mutual Water Company v. La Jolla Band of Mission Indians
466 U.S. 765 (1984)

We represented a City and Water Company in a complex water/power case involving not only Indian water rights but also the first contested Federal Energy Regulatory Commission hydroelectric project re-licensing case. See also Public Law 100-675,102 Stat. 4000 (1988) and amendments. (Firm members also participated in the drafting of federal legislation designed to settle thirty-year dispute over rights to the San Luis Rey River.)

Crawford v. Board of Education Los Angeles Unified School District
17 Cal.3d 280 (1976)

We prepared Amicus Brief for a large urban school district and orally argued before the California Supreme Court in California's leading school integration case.

Montclair Parkowner's Ass'n v. City of Montclair
76 Cal. App. 4th 784 (1999)

We successfully defended City against a regulatory taking challenge to the vacancy control provision of a City's Mobilehome Space Rent Regulation Ordinance. See also Rainbow Disposal Co. v. Escondido Mobilehome Park Rental Review Board, 64 Cal.App.4th 1159 (1998). (Firm successfully defended Rent Board's space rent decision.)

Palomar Mobilehome Park Ass'n v. City of San Marcos
989 F.2d 362 (9th Cir. 1993)

We convinced a federal court that a prior state court decision barred a federal suit challenging constitutionality of City's rent ordinance.

Mission Oaks Mobile Home Park v. City of Hollister
989 F.2d 359 (9th Cir. 1993), cert. denied, 510 U.S. 110 (1994)

We convinced a federal court to abstain and dismiss federal action due to pending lawsuit in state court.
