Verdicts & Settlements Commercial Law & Litigation

Greater Perris Valley Industrial Ass'n. et al. v. County of Riverside, et al.
San Diego Superior Court Case No. 704058.

We represented a group of industrial property and business owners who alleged that the County of Riverside had fraudulently induced them to enter into a contract to support the formation of a Mello-Roos district, and then breached that contract by not providing all the promised infrastructure improvements. After a six week trial, obtained a $3.9 million jury verdict based on the jury's finding of fraud and breach of contract.

Touch Technologies, Inc. v. Winchester Systems, Inc.
San Diego Superior Court Case No. 664698.

We represented a software developer, who alleged the defendant had breached its contract to pay the developer money for exclusive international distribution rights to one of developer's products. We obtained a $338,599 trial verdict for the developer, including an award of attorneys' fees and costs.

Fixed Income Securities, Inc. v. Touch Technologies, Inc.
San Diego Superior Court Case No. 555213.

We represented defendant software developer who was sued for breach of contract and fraud by a Massachusetts company that alleged failure to provide software and support. During a two-week trial we demonstrated through both video and live testimony that a license contract was invalid under copyright law and that it was the plaintiff company's management that caused operation problems, not our defendant client. We obtained a jury verdict in favor of defendant on all claims.

Melvin Green v. John F. Voss, Janet S. Voss
Los Angeles Superior Court Case No. EC 023853.
