Kenneth C. Turek has been a partner with the firm since its inception in 1987. His practice encompasses civil litigation and trials in the areas of condemnation, tort, and business.
Mr. Turek has practiced in San Diego for over twenty-five years, and is a Master of the Bench and former President of the American Inns of Court, William B. Enright Chapter. He attended and serves on the national faculty of the Gerry Spence Trial Lawyers College and has twice received an Outstanding Trial Lawyer award from the San Diego Trial Lawyers Association. He has obtained several multi-million dollar verdicts and settlements in his career. Since 1991, his peers have awarded him the highest rating for legal skills and ethics in the national Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory, and also named him a San Diego Top Attorney in 2006 and a Southern California Super Lawyer in 2007, 2008 and 2009.
Mr. Turek has twice taken first place honors in the prestigious Silver Tongue Extemporaneous Speaking Competition and frequently speaks before legal and other professional groups both nationally and within California. He has been on the governing boards of several law-related organizations in his career, including the San Diego Trial Lawyers Association and the Association of Business Trial Lawyers.
He graduated from State University of New York at Buffalo with a B.A., cum laude, in 1977, and a J.D., with honors, in 1980.

San Diego Revitalization Corporation v. Willis Risk and Insurance Services, California Superior Court, County of San Diego, Case No. GIC 811351 ($5,025,828 jury verdict in insurance broker negligence case).
San Diego Gas & Electric Co. v. Sycamore Canyon, LLC, et al., California Superior Court, County of San Diego, Case No. 838966-1 (Pretrial settlement for $10,675,000 in eminent domain case in which property owner's highest offer was $759,000 before retaining the law firm); and
Suzanne Barnes, et al. v. J-Mar Investment Co., California Superior Court, County of San Diego, Case No. 254318 ($4,350,000 jury verdict in mobilehome park failure to maintain and slip/fall case).
Mr. Turek's hobby is writing and performing comedy. He has performed stand-up comedy at numerous venues including The Comedy Store, The Improv, and the House of Blues, including a first-place finish in the 2009 LafOff Stand-Up Comedy Competition at the House of Blues. Several of his comedic videos appear on YouTube.com. His written comedy has appeared in a variety of forms in regional and national publications including Newsweek, USA Today and The New York Times.
